The Xbox One exclusive EA Access will now be available on PC as well, according to publisher EA.
Announcing via Origin, EA announced that ‘Origin Access’ will provide players with “endless PC gaming“. The features appear to be exactly the same as the Xbox One version, including a 10% discount on games, access to full games in the Vault, trials prior to new releases, and a $4.99/month price point. The subscription is also only available on a monthly basis.
The only difference between the Xbox One version and its PC counterpart is the games that are offered in the Vault. The list of games available in Origin Access include:
- Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe
- Dragon Age Inquisition Digital Deluxe
- Battlefield Hardline Digital Deluxe
- Battlefield 3
- Sim City
- FIFA 15
- Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
- Need for Speed: Rivals
- Dead Space 3
- Dragon Age II
- Dead Space 2
- Dragon Age Origins – Ultimate Edition
- Dead Space
- The Sims 3 Starter Pack
- This War of Mine
According to EA, “Origin Access is not connected to EA Access, the Xbox One membership service,” which means that Xbox One owners who wish to continue their subscription on PC will have to start up an entirely new subscription.
This addition reflects how happy both EA and Microsoft are with EA Access as a service, and its success on the Xbox One, with the publisher commenting last year that the service is performing “extremely well”.
