The latest Lego video game, Marvel’s Avengers, has a hint for what their next game might be. The spoiler is in the end credits.
The image at the bottom of this post is from the end-game sequence, which clearly shows an 80’s-style cassette player and orange headsets. The combination is extremely similar to Peter “Star-Lord” Quill’s own cassette player, meaning that the next game might be a Guardians of the Galaxy game.
Star-Lord ins’t one of the over 200 playable characters in Marvel’s Avengers, although he’s shown up in Lego Marvel Superheroes. The rumor isn’t confirmed, but the developer, Traveller’s Tales, has a tendency to insert these sorts of rumor-style sequences in their games. In Lego Batman 3, for example, there was a giant dinosaur that invaded the credit sequence, which ended up being a reference to Lego Jurassic World.
With Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 coming out in May, it seems likely that we’ll see a Lego version of our favorite quirky squad of galactic heroes soon enough. What do you think? Will we be seeing a Lego Groot sometime soon on our PS4’s and Xbox One’s? Sound off in the comments!
