Starting tomorrow, Metroid: Zero Mission will be part of the extensive Virtual Console library on the Wii U eShop for North America. Zero Mission had already been part of Japan’s and Europe’s eShop catalogue back in 2014 and 2015. The title will be available for purchase for $7.99 and has off-TV play functionality.
Metroid: Zero Mission was a Game Boy Advance title back in 2004 that completely remakes the original Metroid with better visuals and tweaked gameplay for optimal play.
The Metroid series will be hitting their 30th anniversary this year, it’s almost as if this was planned for North America. That said, there have been no confirmed formal celebration for this milestone by Nintendo.
So if you’re one of those people who have yet to delve into a classic franchise like myself, Metroid: Zero Mission is a perfect way to play a remake of where it all began.
