Released on November 28th, 2015, Monster Hunter X has been a ‘major hit’ for Capcom.
Capcom has revealed its financial period for April 1st to December 31, 2015. The company saw a 19.3 percent increase over the 2014 period, bringing in a total of ¥57 billion.
The report says that their continued growth in the mobile market was successful due to a increase in overall audience. Their digital downloads were considered profitable, with Monster Hunter X doing well for the company.
Capcom has stated that they believe their growth is due to reaching out to untapped markets. Those markets are classified as woman, seniors, and families. By encouraging these people to play games, they’ll increase their sales.
As well as Monster Hunter X, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Monster Hunter Online, and Dragon’s Dogma Online all continued to sell. This contributed to the profits for the company. Street Fighter V is projected to sell well.
