Soon, the growing list of special edition New 3DS XL will see a new addition as Nintendo announces a brand new Fire Emblem Fates version of the New 3DS XL. It was mentioned that this special N3DS will be available on the 19th of February: the day that Fire Emblem Fates will be released in the United States. It is important to note that though the price for the handheld will be $200 USD, it will not come with one of the copies of Fire Emblem Fates.
Fire Emblem Fates will have the previously mentioned differing versions available for purchase: Conquest and Birthright. Due to the nature of the game, the special N3DS will not have either game pre-installed to allow buyer the chance to select what they desire. Whether or not this move is sensible is taken into consideration; that said, this special edition will more than likely be for people who either like the decal and have no desire for the game or wish to look for a replacement.
There will be a special $80 bundle of both games as well. So if you’re looking to pick up the N3DS as well as both games, you’ll be looking at a $280 price point on February 19th. I’m personally hoping $80 USD isn’t the true price of the game digitally when you pick up both games.
