Oculus Rift top surveys in virtual reality polls
The Oculus Rift, PlayStation's VR, Samsung Gear VR and HTC Vive are all set to take the big step into launching the gaming world into the virtual reality age. But as with every competing line of products, everyone plays favorites.According to recent polls run by the "State of the Industry" concerning Virtual Reality games and titles, 16% of developers stated they are working on titles for the VR. Specific systems were not mentioned. 15% said that their "next games" will incorporate VR one way or another. While this may not seem like a lot, the percentage of developers getting involved in VR have over doubled since the last year's survey.

According to recent polls run by the “State of the Industry” concerning Virtual Reality games and titles, 16% of developers stated they are working on titles for the VR. While this may not seem like a lot, the percentage of developers getting involved in VR have over doubled since the last year’s survey.
Among those VR titles, Oculus Rift came out on top as the system 20% developers said they were creating for. 9% were developing for PlayStation’s VR, and 8% went to HTC Vive. The remaining 12% were undecided.
When asked which VR/AR platform interested the developers, 40% voted for Oculus Rift. PlayStation VR and HTC Vive tied with 26%. And Microsoft’s Holo Lense ranked in at 25%.
While surveys show that the world of VR/AR is predicted to be a successful long-term business, only 27% believed sales would surpass their initial numbers back in 2015.
