Torment: Tides of Numenera is a digital reimagining of the tabletop game Numenera in an isometric, single-player role-playing game. It seeks to be an entirely story driven project with plenty of lore and character. It’ll be taking a few pages for Obsidian’s successful Pillars of Eternity and weaving Torment: Tides of Numenera into an exciting RPG adventure.

The post mentions that the beta will throw the players right at the beginning of the game, predominately at a main city called Sagus Cliffs. This area is split up into 5 districts that is “rich in lore to discover, characters to talk with and obviously quests to complete”. Despite the beta only allowing players to access this one locations, the beta itself is promised to have up to 10 hours of content to delve right into.

Despite the Kickstarter being over and done with years ago, you can still have the option to chip in to get the game during the backer release and subsequent releases. Do note that this is only the beta still and still needs more time before a fully fledged release comes out. However, if you like what the Kickstarter portrays and you love the Torment series, give it this a go!
