Unravel, an upcoming indie platformer published by EA, will get to its keep its name despite some government filings that gave evidence that it might not.
Shown on NeoGAF, a trademark for the game was refused in June 2015 due to anticipated “likelihood of confusion” with another company’s name who had trademarked “Unravel.” The company, SimplyFun, LLC, has a children’s board game that shares the title.
However, a representative for EA confirmed to GameSpot that the company is still planning to publish the game on its release of February 9th, stating, “The trademark application does not impact the game title of Unravel, and we’re looking forward to the game launching on February 9.”
In other Yarny news, EA Access subscribers will have access to try the game out prior the its release.
