Since its announcement by director Paul Feig, the Ghostbusters movie didn’t have much in terms of news concerning it. That is, until now. According to reports over at Retailer Merchandiser, the 2016 reboot movie will also have a video game to accompany it on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“Ghostbusters” is also returning to video games. Already, the “Ghostbusters” sets are on sale for “Lego Dimensions,” a toys-to-life game featuring the classic building blocks and a new full-fledged “Ghostbusters” video game from Activision will release alongside the movie on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Back in 2009, there was a Ghostbusters game that coincided with the 25th anniversary of the original movie. It saw success and positive critique upon release for its voice acting, gameplay and CGI. This success drove the marketing team to decide upon a brand new Ghostbusters game. This time however, Activision is at the helm, not Terminal Reality; the development team behind the Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
Seeing that the game will be released in conjunction with the movie, it is assumed that this game will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on July 15th, 2016.
