Since Windows 10 was finally released, Xbox One owners were treated to a whole new dashboard with a new look and great features. Fans have shown positive feedback to these changes, however, there is still one thing missing.
This week on Twitter, Phil Spencer, Microsoft’s Head of Xbox, was asked if the promised background music was coming any time soon to Xbox One. His response?
@TheEjderha83 Won’t be before summer sorry to say.

Well there you have it. One of the last times that Spencer was asked about the background music, he said they were waiting for Windows 10. Recently, Xbox’s Lead Engineer Mike Ybarra stated that they were working on it and making sure that they got it right. There would be no point in releasing it earlier if it didn’t work very well.
Xbox One owners are going to have to wait a bit longer to have background music play during their gaming sessions. Looks like it’s back to using your laptop speakers.
