Battalion 1944 developer Bulkhead Interactive has announced some of the stretch goals that they’re adding to the WWII game’s Kickstarter page.
The shooter reached it’s funding goal of £100,000 in just three days and is described as a game that “recaptures the core of classic multiplayer shooters and propels WW2 into the next generation.”
The game is an infantry based first-person shooter that puts an emphasis on skill, not through “overpowered unlocks & abilities.” The developer also said there won’t be any grinding or “exosuits.”
“We’ve been closely listening to all the comments we’ve received from the Battalion community, and we’re responding directly through our stretch goals,” Executive Producer at Bulkhead Interactive Joe Brammer said, “This was the reasoning behind waiting so long for stretch goals, to give us a chance to listen to our community. We’ve taken the most requested community features and added them to our development checklist with realistic funding goals. This is the sort of money that can help us challenge the modern shooters.”
The game has already reached its first stretch goal of a full-time community manager. Other goals include better effects, an offline bootcamp mode, a competitive D-Day map, British Forces, Russian Army, and, if the developer can raise £1.2 million pounds, a single-player campaign.
Battlefield 1944 is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
