The final trailer for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS has been revealed, having a heavy focus on the DLC characters.
Since Bayonetta’s announcement it was known that she would mark the last of the DLC, although this trailer certainly sets it in stone. For those following the game since the beginning, the question of where are the Ice Climbers is still very real.
The character had issues running on the 3DS, and a Wii U exclusive release never happened. Either way, the game saw a total of 7 DLC characters. Returning from previous games were Mewtwo, Lucas, and Roy. New additions to the game’s franchise included Ryu, Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta.
The characters have been well received within the community, but even with that Nintendo has cut support off for Super Smash Bros. No more patches, no more DLC, just a thriving community to keep the game going.
