Quantic Dream is spreading its titles across the globe as its interactive movie games Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls get PS4 release dates. Of course, Beyond: Two Souls has been available in the US for PS4 since November 24th of last year. Heavy Rain will be available for the PS4 on March 1st, however, it will only be available through PSN. Those who already own Beyond: Two Souls can acquire Heavy Rain at a discounted price.
Latin America will receive the collection disk of both games on March 1st, with the digital copy of Heavy Rain still available through PSN. The release date in Asia, Austrailia, New Zealand and Europe for both games is March 2nd. The UK will get its release on Marth 4th. Japan has not been given a release date yet, but Quantic Dream says they’ll have more information on that soon.
“For many players Heavy Rain was a defining moment in their gaming history, and for us it was definitely a milestone of the PS3 generation,” PlayStation said on their blog. “The BAFTA and AIAS winning game helped establish what we like to call ‘interactive drama’ back in 2010, and loads of you have told us over the years how much the game’s story of a father who would do anything for his son moved you.”
In regards to Beyond: Two Souls, they said, “Jodie’s story is a tumultuous one, and one we know touched many of you at the time. On PS4 you will have the opportunity to experience that story played in chronological order, watching Jodie grow from a curious young girl to a powerful woman. We’re hoping you’ll get a kick out of this much-requested mode.”
So it looks like a new story mode will be available for those who wanted to watch Jodie’s epic story straight from childhood to adulthood.
Quantic Dream, along with the PS4 release of these games, is currently developing a new game called Detroit: Become Human, which does not yet have a release date.
