In recent times the focus of video game developers has shifted to a wider and more casual audience. With the release of successful party games on the Wii and everyone having a multitude of games on their smartphones, it is only natural the market has moved in this direction. For Honor, however, is not looking to follow that trend.
It was reported that Ubisoft had a sales earnings meeting this week. During this meeting, CFO Alain Martinez talked about their upcoming hand-to-hand combat game, or better sword-to-sword, in which players can take control of samurai, knights, or vikings and battle along side their kin. For Honor is said to be made specifically with the hardcore gamer in mind. Its offense and defense balanced combat should have a more difficult learning than most games today, but the fantastic control of battle should be worth it.
There is no release date yet for the title, but is said to come out in the 2016-2017 fiscal year. For Honor will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
