An ambitious team called Poem Studios is attempting to recreate Knights of the Old Republic in Unreal Engine 4. The project is being called Apeiron, and already plans on adding new content such as new side missions, new worlds, companions, and items.
The team is comprised of coders, artists, and even voice actors aimed at making this project a reality. To keep players in the look, the website has a series of FAQ-style questions answering common questions such as whether the game will be free, whether the project is legal, and what those wanting to see the project succeed can do to help.
“Since the game is still under intellectual property by Disney we are allowed to make the game, but we are not allowed to sell it,” the developer explains. “So the entire game will be 100% FREE!”
Some screenshots of Tatooine and Endar Spire have already been released.
