It doesn’t look good for PS TV, which was designed as a streaming device that allowed users to stream their PS4 to a separate TV in their home, as well as stream PS3 games from PlayStation Now and shows from streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon. Various Vita games are also able playable on the box.
It originally launched at a retail price of $99.99, which in time dropped to less than half of that original price after it failed to gain popularity.
“Great for families looking to break into the world of PlayStation at an affordable price point,
or kids who are looking for a new way to enjoy their favorite PlayStation content, the PS TV provides the perfect, tiny little outlet for streaming fun,” the description on Sony’s site reads.
