Rocket League’s newest patch is introducing a ban system

Psyonix has released the newest patch notes for their rocket car filled sports game Rocket League, and it looks like things are about to get a bit less fun for the cheaters out there.Specifically, patch 1.12 has “implemented [an] automatic timed matchmaking ban system associated with players who delete content from their game files to avoid competitive matchmaking in certain arenas.”

Other than banning cheaters, the patch also brings a host of bug fixes. Here’s the full list:

Rocket League’s last patch kicked off season 2 of the game’s ranked multiplayer. And better yet, Rocket League is blasting its way onto Xbox One tomorrow, February 17th. The Xbox One version of the game will come with three previously released DLC packs and exclusive access to Xbox specific customization options like a Warthog car body from Halo and an Armadillo car body from Gears of War.
