Before Disney bought Star Wars and assigned the help of J.J. Abrams and others to help bring the franchise back into the limelight, another Episode VII was being developed. This Episode VII, however, was not going to be on the silver screen.
In an interview with Cinelinx, former LucasArts creative director, Haden Blackman, described the setting for a game he was developing titled Star Wars Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith. The game was supposed to follow protagonist Ben Skywalker, the son of Luke Skywalker, as he followed leads on a possible threat to galaxy. All the while, he would be walking the line between the light and dark side of the force himself.
While Shadows of the Sith never came to fruition, it did lead to the Force Awakens series. Now, the world has a whole new Star Wars Episode VII, and most people seem to be quite happy with it.
