The Division’s full launch is just mere days away, and Ubisoft has put tons of marketing behind the game, leading them to feel confident that the game will have a stellar launch.
During a recent investor’s presentation, managing director of The Division, John Parkes, mentioned that the developer has a great deal of confidence that when the game is released, it will be on par with other AAA titles such as Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed and the powerhouse that is Destiny.
“Because of its many attributes—RPG, shooter, massive online multiplayer, realistic setting in a beautifully recreated New York, great open world playable in solo or in co-op—The Division can become one of the biggest launches ever for a new IP,” he said.
Parkes also noted that the previous closed beta had three times as much interest as expected, making it Ubisoft’s most popular beta ever.
The Division launches for PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 8th, but you can try your hands on it right now in this weekend’s open beta.
