Anyone that picked up a PS4 when it launched will hold a special place in their heart for the fantastic Resogun. As a follow up, Housemarque is set to raise the bar even higher with Alienation. And best yet, Alienation now has a release date.
Landing April 26 as part of the recently announced PlayStation Launch Party, Alienation will finish off the event, receiving a 10% discount on pre-orders.
“Xenos are super-aggressive and cars are literally being blown sky high in the heat of battle. However, the amount of weapons at your disposal and the options to upgrade them are enormous. Heavy casualties are expected but co-operation with other UNX agents is the key to becoming an unstoppable force!” Housemarque teased, announcing the release date on the PlayStation Blog.
A top-down twin-stick shooter, obviously similar to the developer’s previous zombie-horde filled Dead Nation, Alienation looks to offer the hectic co-op shooter action fans have been waiting for.
“We’ve always been a tech centric company and now we have the chance to prove our capabilities to the world in our most ambitious project ever,” Ilari Kuittinen, one of the founders of Housemarque, explained.
The game recently took one of the top spots in out Most Anticipated PS4 Games of 2016 list: “Continuing the trend of great developers trying new things, Alienation is a game not every one is paying attention to, but definitely should be.”
