Final Fantasy has been headed to Xbox One and PS4 for a while now, but what are the chances it could end up on PC as well?
Developer Square Enix has revealed that the company is “aware of the big call for a PC version,” but also added that they are focused on the console iterations of the long-awaited title.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to do simultaneous development on a PC and console version for XV,” said director Hajime Tabata. “We had to focus on the console version and our goal was to maximize, optimize everything for the HD consoles. Once that’s done, then we will definitely take a good, hard look at PC and what we need to do, and consider all our options. But right now we aren’t decided, we’re still considering a lot of things.”
It was announced last night that Final Fantasy XV will be arriving for the consoles on September 30, 2016. But if you can’t wait that long, there is a demo – completely separate from the main game – that you can play right now.
