Naughty Dog showcases the maturity crafting Uncharted 4
Any and all art is a reflection of those that make it. And in the case of Uncharted 4, Naughty Dog looks to be telling the deepest, most mature story in the series yet. Where once a team of young designers wanted to tell a story of a man bounding after treasure, ten years on, the character, game, and team have all matured together.“This is the one where it gets to the root of who is he, what’s important to him,” Game Director Bruce Straley explains of Nate in the upcoming game. “And that’s really why we wanted to tell this story, to get to the heart of what drives Nathan Drake.”

Adding, Audio Lead Phil Kovats says, “It’s kind of an interesting perspective to see our hero grow up a bit, and having to deal with themes like family, and future, and not just be caught up in the moment of just finding a treasure. He’s actually thinking long-term about what this might mean for his future.”
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be Naughty Dog’s final trip with Nathan Drake. And it looks as if they aren’t pulling any punches, filling the game to the brim with everything they have ever wanted in an Uncharted game.
