For fans of the Indie genre, seeing No Man’s Sky on stage was a big deal.
Picked up by Sony, Hello Games has developed the largest Space Exploration – or game – to date. Announced last year at E3, the game developers originally stated that “to find your friends starting planet would be nearly impossible.” And they were right.
Hello Games has announced in a press conference that the game so far has 18 quintillion generated planets. For those wondering how big 18 quintillion is, it looks something like this: 18,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Shortly after being announced for the PlayStation 4, No Man’s Sky was also confirmed for the PC. The developers have played the game live on Stephen Colbert, and last October they talked about a June 2016 release date. It looks like they’ll be hitting their mark, as the game releases June 21st, the first day of summer.
