The Division update disables 'Trained' talent and reduces Phoenix Credits
Ubisoft implemented a small patch to The Division over the weekend that changed drop rates of Phoenix Credits in the Dark Zone. It also disabled the 'Trained' talent which greatly reduced the time it took to recharge a player's signature skill.Phoenix Credits are an endgame currency that can be obtained by doing daily missions, running missions on hard mode, and by defeating named bosses in the Dark Zone. Before the update, players could obtain 10-15 credits in the Dark Zone by defeating bosses, but now they will only receive 1-5 Phoenix Credits. The developer made this change to keep players from progressing through The Division's end game too quickly.

Ubisoft Massive also disabled the ‘Trained Talent’ perk on weapons as it was deemed too overpowered. The talent increased the signature skill resource by 5% for every critical hit. Normally a signature skill would take at least ten minutes to fully recharge, but now it could be done in as little as thirty seconds. The developer has disabled the talent until it can be adjusted or replaced.
Full patch notes can be found below.
- Disabled “Trained Talent” as it could give an unfair advantage in end-game content and in the Dark Zone. Note: this Talent will still be visible on weapons but will have no effect until a further update where it will be replaced on existing weapons
- General balancing of experience gain and drop rates for items and currency
