Just months away from release, Uncharted 4 has received another delay, pushing launch into early May. Moving from April 26th, Naughty Dog’s latest will debut two weeks later on May 10th.
Announcing the delay on the PlayStation Blog, SCEA CEO Shawn Layden explained, “In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.”
Continuing, assuring fans, “We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog’s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal — we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake’s final adventure.”
If you just can’t wait to get your hands on Uncharted 4, there’s good news. Naughty Dog is holding a second beta for the game’s multiplayer, the open stress test running this weekend from March 4th-6th. It’s available for pre-load now.
Uncharted 4 will release on May 10th, exclusively on PS4. In the run-up to launch, you’ll find all the information you need right here on Gamespresso.
