Demo units of the new HTC Vive will be available in retail stores soon, according to HTC. Both Gamestop and Microsoft will feature the virtual reality headset and pre-orders can be placed at those physical retail stores.
Not all of the people across the country will be able to try out the unit as it will be in a handful of stores, but by the end of April it will be in 30 Microsoft stores and 10 Gamestop stores. The demo stations will support more than 120 titles that are currently available on Steam.
The HTC Vive will cost $799, the same price as ordering it directly from HTC, and those who order it can expect to see a deliver date sometime in June. A full list of locations will eventually be available on HTC’s official website.
