Adding one more drop to the small, but growing pool of information we know about the hotly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda, it appears early gameplay footage as surfaced.
Posting on NeoGAF, user Taker34 says, “I just found an interesting video/reel on a website of a certain developer who is currently working on Andromeda.”
Though coming in at less than a minute, and meant specifically to show off certain visual effects, there are a couple notable aspects to the footage, namely the return of Krogan, and the inclusion of a jet pack.
The post goes on to note that the footage is from a late 2014 build of the game, meaning it can only really hint at what the game looks like now. Early last month Bioware and EA revealed Mass Effect: Andromeda will miss its original Fall 2016 release window, releasing sometime in early 2017 instead.
The game will follow a human expedition to the Andromeda galaxy, where a host of new alien races, new planets, and new conflicts wait to be discovered. But more than that, a recent survey pointed to the game centering on the idea of colonialism.
What do you think of the footage? How would you feel about the introduction of a jetpack to Mass Effect? Let us know in the comments.
