Rocket League’s Hoops Mode will be released next week.
Developer Psyonix confirmed that Hoops Mode will come to Rocket League on April 26th with a new trailer. The basketball mode will be part of a free update. Hoops Mode will come with a new arena named the “Dunk House.” The arena features a net that also doubles as a ramp, adding a new twist to the sport. The new trailer (seen above) shows how basketball will translate into the rocket-powered soccer game.
For NBA fans, a downloadable flag pack will also be available. The flag pack will feature all 30 NBA teams.
Rocket League is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is currently a digital-only title, but a physical edition will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in July. The game does support cross-play between the PlayStation 4 and PC, as well as cross-play between the Xbox One and PC.
