The Nintendo NX will arrive in March 2017, Nintendo revealed this morning.
Despite many believing Nintendo’s next console release would happen in 2016, the company confirmed that not only will the system not hit store shelves during the current year, it will also not be shown off in any capacity at this year’s E3, rather choosing to let the new Legend of Zelda title take the spotlight.
“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand-new concept,” the company explained in a new report. “NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”
Good news for the NX also came though, after it was revealed that the upcoming Legend of Zelda title will see a simultaneous delay on Wii U and NX, despite facing a delay to 2017.
