Since hearing from players that earning and finding high-end loot after level 30 is not as fun or simple as players would like, Ubisoft is making some changes in the upcoming 1.1 update for The Division.
Detailed in a blog post, the creators of The Division revealed that when it comes to getting the loot that players want to perfect their build, more than 45 percent of players are resorting to crafting, while just under 30 percent buy it from a vendor and only a little over 20 percent loot it from an NPC kill.
In order to “make End-Game more satisfying and more focused towards improving your build one piece at a time,” Ubisoft revealed that after the update, every kill of an NPC will drop a guaranteed High-End item.
On the other end, crafting will now require more materials than before as an increased cost. For example, it will now require 10 Standard (Green) materials instead of 5 to craft 1 Specialized (Blue) material.
That’s the gist of it, but to get the full details of how The Division is heading more toward loot-based and less crafting-based, read the entire post from Ubisoft here.
