The popular Plunder Mode will be returning to Uncharted 4, this time with a few differences from Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3.
Plunder Mode is a twist on the popular Capture the Flag mode found in most action-adventure multiplayer games. The ability to run the flag around the map and co-ordinate with your team mates is crucial to any of these modes, but in Plunder Mode it’s even more important.
With the ability to throw the Idol(flag) around, you can toss it to team mates who are in a better location then you are. Tasked with finding the idol and then returning it to your treasure chest, Plunder Mode is a fast paced multiplayer mode.
Previously a five-on-five team game, Uncharted 4 will be changing this to four-on-four. If you are heading to PAX East, you’ll have an opportunity to chat with some of the developers from Naughty Dog as well as try out the new mode.
As teased on the official PlayStation blog, this is only the first reveal they have in store for us, with more following after PAX East. “We still have so much to share with our fans that have been waiting a long time to hear more about multiplayer. The reveal of Plunder is just another piece. Let me assure you, what we will be revealing soon after PAX East will please a lot of people.”
Uncharted 4 is Nathan Drake’s final adventure, and it launches on May 10th.
