In the world of entertainment today, whether it is video games, movies, or even television, we see more and more of the same franchises putting our sequels, remakes, or reboots. It is always great to see a new IP come out, like Battleborn. It is even better when that new IP turns out to be a success.
After a number of years focusing on the Boderlands series, Gearbox Software’s newest title is hoping on the MOBA trend and doing quite well at it so far. Creative Director, Randy Varnell, recently stated in a Twitch stream that Battleborn was outpacing the sales of the first Borderlands when it was released. For a game that eventually went on to sell over 7 million copies, that is not too shabby.
Having been released May 3rd, it is still early to predict the full success of Battleborn, but there is nothing wrong with having a positive look at it. You try out the hero shooter for yourself on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 now.
