With the much anticipated and teased (and leaked) Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare announcement this morning, we now have the first details of Modern Warfare Remastered. Revealed at the end of the Infinite Warfare trailer, Modern Warfare Remastered features the full Call of Duty 4 campaign in reworked graphics and 10 of the game’s multiplayer maps.
The game is “remastered in stunning high-definition, featuring next generation textures, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting and much more to bring a new generation experience to fans.” So far Activision has confirmed Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire will return in Modern Warfare’s online mode.
A wrinkle comes in regards to how gamers can get their hands on the remastered title. Though a downloadable digital game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will only be available as part of Infinite Warfare’s Legacy, Digital Deluxe, or Legacy Pro editions. Each will run you $80, $100, or $120 respectively. Unfortunately, there are no plans to allow the game as a standalone purchase.
