Earlier this year it was announced that a Dark Souls board game would be developed by Steamforge Games. The Kickstarter is finally finished, and the project earned over $5 million.
The original goal for the Kickstarter was $72,000, so its safe to say the project is well-funded. Steamforge Games was so happy with the results that the two new summoned NPCs to the game, Witch Beatrice and Sword Master Saber, will be included for free to all eligible pledges.
“A heartfelt thank you from everybody at Steamforged Games Ltd,” the developer wrote. “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed this campaign and look forward to keeping you all in the loop as the game progresses. We are honored to have your support and to have spoken with you all in the comments and via the inbox.”
Dark Souls: The Board Game is set to release sometime in April 2017.
