DICE is planning to reveal Battlefield 5 this Friday. Ahead of the reveal, the developer has announced that expansion packs for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline will be released free of charge over the next few months. The offer is starting with two DLC packs being made free beginning today.
Battlefield 4’s Dragon Teeth expansion and Battlefield Hardline’s Robbery expansion are available for free right now. The deal will last until May 10th, and will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One versions of the games. No details for any of the other expansion packs has been given. The promotion does suggest, however, that much or all of the DLC for both games will be released for free at some point.
The reveal of Battlefield 5 is planned for May 6th at 1 p.m. PT. No other information for the event has been given. The title is expected to release sometime this fall, with rumors circulating that the game will have a World War I setting.
