The third and final piece of DLC for Fallout 4, Far Harbor introduces any entirely new map for players to explore. Complete with a new story, more dungeons, new faction quests, and even new enemy types, Far Harbor will land May 19.
“In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?”
The DLC is not only the largest of the three released for Fallout 4, but also the single largest landmass Bethesda has ever created for additional content.
This release comes not long after both Survival Mode and the mod-building Creation Kit went live on PC. Survival Mode, a revamping of the game’s hardest difficulty, adding the need to sleep and eat among other things, is set to hit consoles this week. Likewise, Bethesda plans to have the mods from the Creation Kit available for console owners sometime over the next couple months.
