We now have a release date for the next major Final Fantasy XIV update, Revenge of the Horde.
During the latest Letter from the Producer Live, game producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that patch 3.3 will be released on June 7th on all platforms.
Yoshida also gave a few details on the upcoming patch. Players will be able to take on Nidhogg with up to seven allies in a new trial called The Final Steps of Faith in both normal and extreme variations. Details about The Aquapolis treasure dungeon were also given. There is a 20% chance that this special dungeon will appear when completing Dragonskin Treasure Maps. In the dungeon, players have to battle through numerous rooms in order to unlock increasingly rare treasure. To gain access to the next room, players must pick the right door. If they pick the wrong door, the party will be kicked out of the dungeon.
Also coming in Revenge of the Horde is a 24-player raid, new main story quests, new side quests, new Hildibrand quests, a Frontlines PvP map, the next part in the Anima weapon questline, and more.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Revenge of the Horde will be available to download on June 7th.
