While some games may seem like they’re locked in development hell forever, some games are able to break free from their chains. Syberia 3 is one such game. Announced over 7 years ago, the title finally has a set release date.
The last title, Syberia 2, released in 2002, with little word other than the announcement that Syberia 3 would be in development. The second sequel in the series was planned to release in June 2010, but Microids was bought out by Anuman Interactive during that time, hindering Syberia 3‘s release.
Along with a release date, Microids released a gameplay video to keep eager fans at bay. The game is described in the developer commentary as a cinematic experience, much like Heavy Rain.
Syberia 3 is set to release December 1st, 2016 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
