Yesterday, Bethesda revealed there would be a closed beta for Fallout 4 mod support on Xbox One. For those hoping to get in, sign ups are now open.
The Fallout 4 Creation Kit made its way to PC at the end of last month, bringing a curated, in-game mod marketplace and a full host of modding tools. Not only is it easier to make mods, but players can also now browse and download mods from a new tab on the Fallout 4 main menu.
That in-game mod support isn’t staying PC exclusive for long however. Bethesda is bringing the same support to consoles, starting with Xbox One this month, with PS4 following in June. For console gamers hoping to get in on the craziness of mods a little early, there will be a closed beta for Xbox One. Taking to Twitter, Bethesda stated sign ups are still open here.
The closed beta doesn’t have a solid start date yet. Instead, the developer has only said that it will come after the release of Fallout 4’s final piece of DLC, Far Harbor, on May 19. There’s no word on any possible PS4 pre-launch tests just yet.
Will you signing up for a chance to get into the closed beta? What’s the first thing you hope to mod in your game? Let us know in the comments.
