Star Wars Battlefront 2 confirmed
Star Wars Battlefront has been a massive hit for EA. So much so, that after selling over 14 millions copies, it exceeded EA's own expectations. With this success, the company is clear to continue with their long term plans. Of course, that means sequels.During an earnings call, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront 2 was in the works and would be released next year. He also stated that this sequel would have "bigger and better worlds" and feature content from the new films. We can only assume that by this he means The Force Awakens and Rogue One. When Jorgensen says "next year" it is unclear whether he means calendar year or fiscal year, so we could still be waiting some time for the next shooter. Considering the first of the new Battlefronts has only released 1 out of the 3 DLC packs within the season pass, there is still plenty of time before Battlefront 2 steps into the limelight.
