The HD remaster of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, Batman: Return to Arkham, has been delayed.
WB staff forum member Steve Grayson revealed the news on the WB website. Explaining the reasoning behind the decision, he says, “After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
Originally slated for release on July 26th, the collection is now currently without a release date.
Not only does Return to Arkham include HD remasters of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, it also packs in all the accompanying DLC. Batman: Arkham Origins, though also released on last-gen, is not included in the Return to Arkham collection.
Batman: Return to Arkham will release on PS4 and Xbox One. As we learn more about when we might be seeing the collection on store shelves, you’ll find it right here on Gamespresso.
