Publisher Daum Games has announced that the first part to Black Desert Online’s Valencia update will not release as previously planned.
“We are very sorry to announce that, unfortunately, we had to make the decision to delay the release of the Valencia & Siege Mode update,” Daum Games stated. “Due to some technical issue to adapt the Season 4 of Siege mode to our build, we felt that we were not ready for this new content.
“We also want to take this opportunity of deployment to further improve the security system of the game, targeting bots and such forbidden software. This is an ongoing task on which we’ve been working for a while now and the Valencia & Siege Mode update could be a key point in that matter, as we don’t want the new Siege content to be overshadowed by this matter.
“Once again we want to apologize for this delay and will do our best to release it as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”
To help make up for the delay of the update, it was announced that the Blackstone and Pirate Rhum events are being extended by one week.
Black Desert Online is available on PC. The Valencia & Siege Mode update will increase the size of the world by 30% and will introduce hundreds of new quests to complete. The update will also bring with it new weapons, armor, crafting recipes, and accessories. It will also raise the maximum weapon and armor upgrade level to 20.
