To celebrate Memorial day in the US, Call of Duty: Black Ops III received a new DLC that allowed players, for the price of $4, to pick up the Call of Duty Endowment Valor Calling Card set which contained three animated calling cards based on land, sea and air operations. 100% of the proceeds from these cards goes to the Call of Duty Endowment program.
Activision is a company that has, for past 7 years, been donating to the US military via the CoDE. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick established the program back in 2009 and it has since assisted in over 23,000 job placements for veterans.
CoDE executive director, Dan Goldenberg released a statement alongside the calling cards, saying, “To date, the Call of Duty community has contributed over $1 million to our efforts to help veterans through the in-game program, with this funding, our grantees will place over 1,800 veterans into high-quality jobs. Through this campaign alone, the Call of Duty community has essentially put an entire brigade back to work, which is tremendous.”
The Call of Duty: Black Ops III CoDE Valour calling cards are available right now on the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One digital stores.
