Blizzard is cracking down on dishonest players in Overwatch
Blizzard has stated before that they will have a zero-tolerance cheating policy in Overwatch. Now they are showing that they mean it, as the developer has already banned thousands of dishonest players since the game released.According to PC Gamer, the bans are quite effective, as changes in hard disk drive IDs, MAC Address, and more did not allow the players to avoid Blizzard's anticheat system. But that's not all that Blizzard is doing. The developer is also posting the user names of cheaters on the Blizzard China forums.

According to PC Gamer, the bans are quite effective, as changes in hard disk drive IDs, MAC Address, and more did not allow the players to avoid Blizzard’s anticheat system. But that’s not all that Blizzard is doing. The developer is also posting the user names of cheaters on the Blizzard China forums.
“Got banned 1 day after the official release, though I got detected for using RPM tools because the game was crashing for it at the time,” stated one user. “Bought the game again… didn’t hack on it at all, just wanted to enjoy the game a bit on it. Two days later – banned again.
“Bought the game… again, but before doing that, I’ve deleted Overwatch and launcher completely. Enjoyed it again without cheating only for a day… Went to buy the game once again, played it for a bit and got banned in-game… again without using any sort of cheats/hacks. So I guess I need to say goodbye to this game…”
Overwatch is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
