One of the biggest showcased games at Bethesda’s E3 conference was Dishonored 2. Announced at last year’s E3 event, this year, we get a better look into the world, the gameplay and the collector’s edition. Dishonored 2 follows the aftermath adventures of Dishonored with Emily ascending to the monarchy and becoming ruler with the help of Corvo.
The world is made from an entirely new engine called the ‘Void Engine’. With it, the game can work with extremely fine visual and audio cues needed to immerse the player in the world. While the game begins in Dunwall, the player will have to traverse to the rich lore-filled city of Karnaca.
The game opens up mechanically with the introduction of weather effects and new abilities for Emily and familiar abilities from Corvo. Both characters can upgrade their abilities just like in the original game, in order to create some exquisite and crazy take downs. Something that becomes oddly satisfying in the gameplay showcase where Emily could chain enemies together using the Domino ability on 3 enemies. All the missions are based on centralized themes that are explored throughout the game, of which hasn’t been shown yet.
You will be able to purchase Dishonored 2 on November 11th, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The collectors edition will also be available and is in currently limited supplies. Within it, you’ll receive Corvo’s mask, Emily’s ring, a propaganda poster and a metallic case. If you pre-order from the Bethesda store, it will also come with the definitive edition of the first Dishonored game. The definitive edition will have remastered graphics and all the DLC.
