Due to an unspecified problem, Ubisoft has delayed the latest patch for The Division, originally meant to drop today. Among other things, the patch was going to introduce the Challenge Mode for the most recent endgame activity, the Clear Sky Incursion.
“Prior to deployment, it has been found that the patch was unsuccessful and has been delayed,” the developer states simply in a forum post.
Continuing, “This also means that the deployment of the Clear Sky Challenge Mode has been delayed for the time being as well. We will share more info on when the patch will be deployed and what it contains as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.”
This is only the latest hiccup in what seems to be a rough time for The Division, ever since the game’s first major content update introduced a number of game-breaking exploits. While the exploits are now under control, the second content update brought its own new share of bugs.
This strikes as particularly unfortunate given the solid game underneath it all. Our original review of The Division thought it was great, applauding the interesting RPG mechanics and outstanding visuals.
