Mods are headed to Fallout 4 on PlayStation 4 soon, but they may be limited compared to Xbox One and PC.
The creation kit on PS4 will only allow mods up to 900 MB at the present, as opposed to a whole 2 GB on Xbox and PC. Bethesda stated that they are currently working with Sony to increase the limit.
For mods, PC textures are used, which as a result, can cause memory and processing issues to occur, where again Bethesda stated that they are working with Sony to support “optimal texture exporting support in a future update.”
Finally, sound files are not currently supported at launch, which means – you guessed it – Bethesda is working with Sony to implement “sound file processing support in a future update.”
A closed beta period for mods in Fallout 4 on PS4 is “close to ready” according to Bethesda.
