Yesterday, news spread like wildfire that the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fallout 4 (featuring the game and all of its current and future DLC) was being sold on the Xbox One store for free.
However, news comes today that those who were able to grab a download of the game during this error will likely not be able to play the game for long.
“An unintended discount caused some excitement today. While we loved the enthusiasm it generated, prices for Fallout 4 games have been restored,” Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb said.
“Those customers who were able to get the Fallout 4 Deluxe Edition for free will be removed under their licenses automatically,” an Xbox Support rep told Neowin.
Unfortunately, those who spotted the deal won’t yield any benefits from it.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of Fallout 4 typically sells for $109.99, which contains all of the DLC released for the game thus far, including the most recent addition of Far Harbor.
