Gears of War 4 has received quite the makeover to its visuals since the multiplayer beta that took place back in April. Rod Fergusson, Studio Head of The Coalition, tweeted a side-by-side comparison of two screenshots. One was taken from the beta and another from the game on May 31.
The image, which can be seen below, reveals graphical improvements to the surrounding and a much more detailed character model of a Locust soldier.

With over 1.6 million players who participated in the beta, Microsoft predicts that the title could be their “biggest game of the year.”
Gears of War 4 takes place 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3. Players will assume the role of J.D. Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix, the main protagonist from the series’ first three installments. To see what its all about, be sure to check out the first story trailer.
Gears of War 4 is set to release on October 11, exclusively on the Xbox One.
