Back in 2014, Hitman GO was released on mobile devices and was met with positive feedback. From there, the team at Square Enix Montreal released Lara Croft GO which won the The Game Award 2015 award for the mobile device/handheld category. Now, Eidos have unveiled the upcoming Deus Ex GO mobile game.
The trailer only briefly teases the combat section of the game. According to the video’s description, the game will have the player utilize “hacking, combat, and augmentations to solve the most challenging puzzles of the entire GO series”.
Studio head of Square Enix Montreal, Patrick Naud remarked that this Deus Ex GO is an evolutionary step up from the previous games in the GO series. Building up on their successful predecessors, Deus Ex GO will be an improvement on visual and game design, with some more interesting social implementations.
“With Deus Ex, we are taking the Go franchise to another level. We are building on the learnings of Hitman and Lara Croft to go a step further with Deus Ex in terms of visual, game design and social features,” stated Naud.
Deus Ex GO will be out for mobile devices as well as tablets during the summer of 2016.
